We have 2 options you can either pay up front or take out our deferred payment option, the period lasts for 7 months, or until the property is sold if sooner, at which point you are liable to pay the price of the pack.
Is there a charge for the 7 month credit period?
Yes, to keep costs as low as possible for customers that pay up front a small charge for the credit period is charged. There is an administration fee of 10% of the pack cost. This fee is included in the cost if deferred payment is chosen.
What if I decide to remove my property from the market will I still be charged for the HIP?
Yes you will still be charged. We are currently investigating the option of a clip on insurance policy, at a small additional premium, to cover the HIP cost if this occurs
Why use a Hippd Member Inspector?
Hippd member Inspectors are all strictly audited to ensure the highest standards are achieved.
In addition the Hippd Member Inspector will be providing you with a Home Information pack direct from the supplier cutting out unnecessary members of the chain.
Why source my own Home Information Pack?
Sourcing your own Home Information Pack (HIP) has a number of benefits:
You will own the HIP and can therefore transfer it between Estate Agents.
You may buy the pack at a reduced price.
You will be able to sell the pack without the use of an Estate Agent.
If I sell my house myself do I still need a Home Information Pack?
Yes, under the regulations all property, with certain property type exceptions, that is sold on the open market must have a Home Information Pack prior to sale.
How can you provide Home Information Packs cheaper than your competitors?
We have negotiated with a major supplier of IT solutions for the production of Home Information Packs to provide a large volume of packs we make a minimal amount per pack by relying on large volumes. This cost benefit is passed onto the Inspectors allowing them to provide a premium service at a best value price.
This is dependent on a number of different factors including:
Size and location of your property
Local authorities charge different fees for the required searches in different areas.
Your product choice
I cannot use a computer, will this stop me?
Absolutely not, you are not required to use a computer in any part of the process
