Do I set the retail price for the HIP?
Yes, you have complete control over the final retail price for the HIP. The pack compilation price is known to you prior to setting the retail price.
How does your financing system for HIP’s work?
We provide an 7 months finance option on all packs. The contract for finance is directly between the vendor and the finance provider. The finance option is initiated direct from the software system.
Do I have to use the finance option?
No, absolutely not, we do not believe we should interfere with your business operations. The cost of the pack production can be invoiced to you as the initiator.
What if the property is not sold within the 7 months?
The vendor will become liable for payment of the pack. We are currently investigating converting the credit period to a loan after the 7 months if required.
Is there a charge for the 7 month credit period?
Yes, to keep costs as low as possible for customers that pay up front a small charge for the credit period is charged.
What if the property is sold before the 7 month period?
When the vendor engages the services of a solicitor to carry out the legal aspects of the sale, we require that the solicitor sign a document confirming that the cost of the HIP is paid to our partner company on completion of the sale.
What do I need to initiate a pack?
You will require a computer and internet access if you initiate the pack, or you may come to specific arrangements with the Home Inspector that supplies our services.
The completed pack can be viewed on-line at no cost. The pack can be downloaded and printed off, and also includes 1 printed copy by default.
Can extra copies of the pack be ordered?
Certainly, extra copies can be ordered via the software interface.
What is the cost of extra copies?
The cost of extra copies is dependent on the number of pages in the HIP. Don’t forget under the regulations you can charge a reasonable fee to buyers for a copy of the HIP. Call for up to date pricing.
Do the HIP’s have any warranties or guarantees?
Our HIP’s are fully warranted to meet legal requirements and the contents are checked prior to dispatch.
Can the pack contents be refreshed?
Yes, the software interface allows a simple refresh process for the pack contents.
