How much will this cost me initially?
There is no upfront cost.
There are no service charges for using the HIPPD HIP system.
All HIPS using our Hippd system are covered under our PI Insurance.
Will I receive any training to use the system?
Yes, you will receive full training.
Who completes the seller’s questionnaire and fixtures and fittings form?
This can be completed in paper format by the seller and uploaded onto the system or filled out on-line. The seller can be provided with a temporary password to fill out the forms at home. The forms are currently authorised documents.
Does your system involve lots of extra work?
There is small amount of additional work on sales and marketing your services to Estate Agents. When your Estate Agents clients are set up, the system is automatic and you will receive work via an automated system.
When selling packs direct to vendors the Inspector will initiate the pack production process. This involves the inputting a minimal amount of information into the system which is then mainly generated automatically. Input the sellor contact details and it takes a couple of mouse clicks to order a HIP
Do you help me with sales to Estate Agents?
We offer support, advice and training to help you. We also have a range of marketing material that can be tailored to your individual company. We can help you to set up a local marketing strategy.
No, the system has been carefully thought out and is very straight forward. In addition the system is currently been adjusted to meet our company requirements to make the system even more user friendly.
Is your system suitable for me as a lone independent Inspector?
Yes absolutely, we have no minimum sales requirements or expensive service charges. Our aim is to allow Inspectors to remain central to the provision of Home Information Packs and have direct to market access. All our members are important to Hippd. You will have a leading HIP solution and will be able to compete directly, and beat, corporate providers as your overheads are much lower.
Is your system suitable for a small firm of Inspectors?
Yes, we can fully meet your needs.
When I initiate HIP’s will I have to do this personally?
No, this can be completed by a member of your organisation.
I have a private vendor wanting a HIP for a leasehold property and I do not know a suitable conveyance solicitor, can you help?
Yes, we have a conveyance solicitor in place and this can be automatically ordered via the software.
Do you pass on sales leads from Estate Agents/vendors?
Where we receive enquiries details will be passed onto the local member.
Do I have an exclusive post code area?
No, our system is open to all independent Inspectors. We believe that your sales will be determined by building local relationships. We will however fully investigate ay malpractice by a member.
No, and nether can other HIP provider, all they can do is refer the work they receive to the Inspector in that area. This is a big misinformation put about by franchises that what to take your money.
We will help and support you with sales and marketing material and pass on any sales leads we receive to your area.
Why choose your system over a franchise?
A franchise will generally require that you purchase an exclusive right to use their name with a set area of post codes for a fixed term. This may cost upwards of £60,000 for a period of 3 years. They will then refer all the work they receive to you for first refusal. They will likely require you do the sales work in your area. For this effort you will not generally receive any money from the pack and they may well also take a cut of your HCR fee. After the fixed franchise period has elapsed you will again have to pay for the continued use of the franchise name.
Our system has key benefits to YOU. You will be trading under your own company name which is backed up by us. You negotiate locally on your fee levels. We do not set how much you make from a HIP and we do NOT take any part of your fee for completing the HCR. If we do not remain competitive in the market place you can choose to find an alternate supplier, but will retain your customers.
What can I offer an Estate Agent over a Large Corporate?
Simply put, personal service, and a very competitive price. You have the ability to market your services on a local level, and you know the local market best. A corporate will require teams of sales reps to match you level of service. In addition most small independent Estate Agents prefer to deal with local people.
Will the corporate be able to provide HIP’s cheaper than me?
Unlikely, our prices to you are very competitive. You have the ability to be much more flexible on price.
Do you help support my local business?
Yes, we provide sales and marketing material. In addition we provide training to help you. We also provide basic business advice for those of you new to operating your own business.
What marketing material do you provide?We provide generic marketing material that can be adapted to include your company details. You will receive more details on your induction day.
Why do I have to attend a training program before I can use Hippd HIP system?
Although the system is very easy to use we do require you take an initial induction training. This is to protect your and our interests, ensuring you are fully conversant with the system.
What if I don’t achieve any sales of HIP’s?
We do not have a minimum sales volume commitment for you. If you are having any difficulties we will provide support to improve your sales.
